If your Ford Galaxy’s headlights don’t work, it may be because the headlight switch is broken. With this switch, you can turn on and off your low beam and high beam headlights, as well as dim or brighten them. On the driver’s side of the Ford Galaxy, the headlight switch is next to the left-most air vent. To change the headlight switch, you don’t need any special tools. You should plan to spend about 30 minutes on the job as a whole.
Inside the engine compartment, disconnect the negative battery cable.
To take off the lower dash trim, pop it out of its tabs and slide them in. Pull the edges of the lower dashboard trim all the way out of its housing by going around the edge.
Take out the screw that holds the headlight switch to the headlight switch mounting bracket.
Use the screwdriver as a wedge to pry the headlight switch off the headlight switch trim.
Remove the two wire harnesses from the back of the headlight switch and attach them to the new switch. To install the new headlight switch, do the steps from above backwards.
