Fill the reservoir with water or a mix of water and windshield washer fluid until the “maximum” mark on the reservoir is reached. Use the mixing ratios given in the owner’s manual for your Smart car.
Close the cap on the windshield washer reservoir and put the service flap back on.
Fold the service flap levers in toward each other to lock the service flap in place.
According to the owner’s manual for a Smart car from 2008, mix the following amounts: — above 0 degrees C (32 degrees F): 1 part of summer-marked windshield washer concentrate to 100 parts water — -10 degrees C (-14 degrees F): 1 part windshield washer concentrate marked for winter to 2 parts water — -20 degrees C (-4 degrees F): 1 part of winter-marked windshield washer concentrate to 1 part of water
