How To Reset A Scantronic

Alarm

Scantronic 9851 has an alarm panel equipped with an LCD monitor, at minimum one keypad, as well as different detectors. You must enter an access code before you can use or program the system. The alarm is activated when the sensor detects an intruder, fire, panic or medical alarm. There are three ways to reset the 9851: if you have an alarm that is not working or there’s a problem, or if you just want the alarm to stop.

  • Scantronic’s 9851 alarm system features a control panel that has an LCD screen, at most one keypad, and multiple detectors throughout its location.
  • There are three ways to reset the 9851 if you have an alarm that is not working or you need it to go off.

Take a look at the LCD screen and note the darkened wrench icon.

Enter your access code by pressing the keypad keys.

Click the checkmark icon button. After the screen clears, the system restarts.

Take a look at the LCD display and notice that the wrench icon glows. You may be able do remote reset if your alarm has a phone line connected to an alarm receiver centre. If not, your alarm company might send an engineer to your house to inspect your system and reset it.

  • Take a look at the LCD screen and notice that the wrench icon glows.

Enter your access code by pressing the keyspad numbers. You will see “Select?”

The button with the checkmark icon will be pressed. A four-digit reset code will be displayed on the display. The code can be written on a piece paper. It will show for about 30 seconds. You can enter the code again if you misplace it.

Contact your alarm company’s emergency number. To verify your identity, the company will ask some questions. After asking you questions about the alarm they are trying to reset, the company will request your reset code. The company will not send an engineer to your home to inspect and reset the system. They’ll give you an “Anti Code.”

  • Contact your alarm company’s emergency receiving center.
  • You will need to tell them about the alarm that you are calling and then they will request the reset code you have written down.

Enter the number of “Anti Code” into the keypad. Once the display is cleared, the service light will turn off. This will reset the system.
