This week in the world of Sumu La Penzi; the light shines on the three glamorous women; Mariam, Ama, Eva, and makes a stop on the struggling newbie in town, Tindi. She draws us into the age-old discussion of who brings home the bacon.
Tindi is struggling to make a living at Eva’s boutique. In her usual unrefined nature, she not only spills information that could hurt Eva, but also throws a jab at her long time boyfriend, Solomon. According to Tindi, Solomon’s money problems would end if he could just get a better paying job.
However, sometimes getting a job is not as black and white as we would like to imagine. And Tindi should know that. It is not too long ago that she came to the city. Tindi, displaying an acute sense of selective memory, has the nerve to admonish Solomon for a fault he can’t control. For most people, it takes a heavy pounding on the tarmac and bruised knuckles knocking on doors to get a few office doors open in Nairobi. How will Solomon handle the put-down by his loving but naïve girlfriend?
