Spielworks media set new standards last Saturday as they played host to over 100 guests at the exclusive AMVCA 2014 send off gala party. The exclusive red-carpet event, which took place at the Shift Eye Gallery, was held to give a one-of-a-kind send off to Lagos for the 7 nominees from Spielworks media.

Caroline Wandetto – Marketing Manager – Multi-choice was impressed at the support given to the nominees and the film industry at large and she urged the guests to vote and sure enough there was a vote-a-thon where mass texts were sent by all the attendees. Dorothy Ghettuba- Founder & CEO of Spielworks Media, and nominee for Best Online Video, was also grateful for the support that they had all received and had one thing to say to the nominees. ‘Bring those awards home’.

The event was a culmination of a rigorous 5-week campaign to vote for the nominees. They were nominated for various awards at the 2nd edition of what has been dubbed as the African Oscars – the annual Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards are set to take place in Lagos on 8th March.
