Dorothy is the Director of Development at Spielworks Media. She attended Andrews University in Michigan where she studied Communications and Political Science.
She is keen to foster collaborations/partnerships between the African and Canadian entertainment industries and create a platform for exchange of ideas and providing opportunities for performing artists, writers, editors, directors and creative artists to experience working in both Africa (especially Kenya) and Canada.
Dorothy was selected as one of the 2008 Canada’s Emerging 20 by Canada’s ReelWorld Film Festival.
With her international experience in film making, acting, writing and production, Dorothy has the necessary skills and exposure to make Spielworks mMedia a success story. She will be in charge of day-to-day management of the Company and directing productions.

Loyce Kareri

Loyce trained in publishing and professional screenwriting while enrolled in programs at the Ohio State University and the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in the United States.
Her passion for literature and the arts emerged early as she attended leading schools in Kenya that featured evolved theater, music and dance programs. These facilitated her repeat performances in productions of various youth variety programs on the state-run television station, KBC, in the early '90s.
She would later embark on collaboration with her long time friend Dorothy Ghettuba in developing film and television concepts for the African market in 2008 and also found Spielworks Co., a publishing services outlet based in Columbus, Ohio.
Loyce was a recipient of the 2008 Citizen Journalism Award from the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting for her highly regarded essay "Why Should the World care about the environment in places like Mozambique, Rwanda and Zimbabwe". She was consequently featured in an interview to discuss the award and citizen Journalism on BBC World News together with The Pulitzer Center Director, Jon Sawyer.  To view the video, click here and here to read her winning essay.
